File should be prepared in close connection to required lenticular effect, size and type of lens.
Here are some quidelines for proper file preparation.
- 1. Images should have 4 mm spreads on every side
- 2. Images have to be prepared in resolution of 300 DPI. In a case of using 20/30 LPI large
format lens - resolution could be re-sampled to 150 DPI. - 3. If you require 3D effect (depth) you have to add more space (apart from the spreads)
on every side of the image.
Its size depends on lens type and required depth of the final image. Bear in mind that
the deeper the object is placed in the final image, the less sharp it is. - 4. We can apply some standard presets for several types of lenses.
- 100 LPI and 75 LPI - 10 mm (5mm on the right and 5mm on the left)
- 62 LPI and 60 LPI - 25 mm (12.5mm on the right and 12.5mm on the left)
- 30 LPI and 20 LPI - 50-70mm (25mm on the right and 25mm on the left)
on image and idea. It is common to set it up experimentally.
- 1. File has to be prepared in layers. Layers should be set up in such an order that the object,
which is the closest to the viewer should be on top of the layer list.
The object which is to be in the focal point should be named "middle". - 2. SETs layers should be removed. All layer effects need to be rendered.
All hidden layers have to be deleted. - 3. Layers should not be knocked out. It means that all holes left after cutting parts of a layer
to another layer should be filled up. - 4. Animation should be saved frame by frame. All frames must be the same size and colour model.
They have to be numbered in proper order.
You can download sample file hereWe are printing with CMYK color model so, color gamut should be checked out when using different
colour model. From technical point of view - pantone colours could not be used in most cases.
